Sport·Jezzine, Lebanon
World Table Tennis Youth Contender Jezzine
17 countries. Over 200 players. Lebanon's first World Table Tennis event, at full international specification, through a national economic crisis.
Client Lebanese Table Tennis Federation · World Table Tennis
Objective
Return Lebanon to the international table tennis calendar with an event meeting full World Table Tennis standards, despite the collapse of the national economy.
The challenge
Jezzine is a seasonal tourist town, largely empty in November. Accommodation, transport, catering and equipment all had to be built rather than booked, on a budget constrained by the crisis.
What we ran
Detailed planning against a full compliance checklist, with repeated site visits. Low-season hotel rates negotiated to protect the budget. Equipment moved by three trucks from federation headquarters rather than hired. Competition hall lighting upgraded to World Table Tennis specification. Three shuttles running continuously, daily press releases, and a full opening ceremony.
The result
17 countries represented · 200+ players at full international spec · the first World Table Tennis event ever held in Lebanon.
I would like to congratulate you for the successfully delivered first World Table Tennis event in Lebanon. The feedback received from participating teams and the World Table Tennis supervisor was very positive.
