About

A studio small enough to stay accountable

Victoriam is led by Louis Baz. The person who takes your brief is the person on the floor on the day, and the work behind the studio spans two decades across Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Egypt, delivered to federation, corporate and ministerial standard.

The studio

Louis Baz

Principal & Executive Producer

Louis has spent two decades producing live events across the Middle East: motor shows and bank activations in Riyadh and Jeddah, car launches in Doha, medical conventions in Luxor, international tennis ties in Cairo and Beirut, and inaugurations attended by government ministers.

He founded Victoriam to run those events the way he believes they should be run: with the person who takes the brief on site, in command, for the whole event.

How the work gets staffed

Every production is built from a standing bench of specialists Louis has worked with repeatedly over twenty years: technical and staging crews, creative and design, catering and hospitality, logistics and transport, security and crowd management.

The team is assembled to match the brief. A ministerial ceremony and a three-day convention abroad need different crews, and building the right one each time is why our clients are not paying for overhead that has nothing to do with their event.

The track record

How the studio built its experience

01

Agency training

Before founding Victoriam, Louis ran the events output for Memac Ogilvy Riyadh's client roster: real estate exhibitions and the Riyadh and Jeddah motor shows for Al Rajhi Bank, and Gitex Riyadh for STC. Client briefs, brand discipline, budgets, and the habit of delivering to someone else's standard.

02

Sport, where the clock rules

Competition operations for federations, where the schedule, the rulebook and the officials are fixed and the event has to fit them exactly.

03

International delivery

Riyadh, Jeddah, Doha, Cairo, Luxor. Motor shows and exhibitions in Saudi Arabia, Mercedes and Mitsubishi launches in Doha for Nasser Bin Khaled, four Davis Cup ties relocated to Cairo, a 200-delegate convention in Luxor. These ran far from home, with everything shipped, booked and rehearsed in advance.

04

Corporate & institutional work

Medical conventions, academy launches, gala nights, a hundred-year centennial, fundraising campaigns and ministerial inaugurations. Earlier, in Jeddah, Louis worked alongside EMAAR on the official visit of the late King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to King Abdullah Economic City.

How we work

Small by design

You get the decision-maker

Large agencies sell you a director and hand you a junior coordinator. Here, the person who takes the brief is the person running the floor.

A bench, not a call list

Technical, staging, catering and hospitality specialists we have worked with repeatedly, booked in writing with rates and times agreed in advance.

Scaled to the event

A ministerial ceremony and a three-day convention need different crews. We build the right one each time instead of carrying overhead you would pay for.
