The challenge
Raise funds for families affected by the August 2020 port explosion, and rebuild a sense of collective purpose in the city. "19.8" is Beirut's symbolic area, and every challenge was built around that number. The event had to capture attention in a city saturated with causes, motivate people of very different ability levels to take part, and coordinate several venues, all while the country's economy was collapsing.
What we ran
A series of linked sports challenges, hosted mainly at the ATCL club More than 10 sports, deliberately spanning every skill level Families and children competing alongside amateur and professional athletes A full marketing and communications campaign across social media, local media and PR End-to-end logistics and coordination across multiple venues
The result
$100,000+ raised for affected families • 10+ sports across all ability levels • 75 participants, from children to professional athletes • First edition, built from nothing
